INDEFATIGABLE
The Indefatigable Old Boys’ Association wishes to invite
all former Staff
(Teachers & Ancillary)
to the
25th Anniversary Reunion Dinner to be held on Saturday, 7th
June, 2008.
Personal Message from Howard Trillo, History Teacher, 1987-1992:-
Although I left the Inde some years before its demise, I am eternally
grateful to have been granted
Honorary Membership of the Association through which, with its
annual Newsletter, I have had much
pleasure in maintaining a link with the IOBA, hearing about the
fortunes of the schools’ former
students, scattered as they are over the whole globe, and appreciating
the tremendous efforts the Committee
makes in maintaining the spirit of the Indefatigable which, however
you view it, is unique.
This year sees the 25th anniversary of the founding of the Association
by Pat Purser, and the Committee
have asked me to persuade as many former staff as possible to
attend the Reunion Dinner which
will be held at the Carreg Bran Hotel, Llanfairpwll. Apart from
the Dinner, there will be the opportunity
to tour the Indefatigable site, now a Joint Services Training
Centre, and have lunch there. (Note:
You do not have to be a member of the IOBA to attend this year’s
Reunion)
I am certainly looking forward to meeting many of my one-time
students, especially those from my
Form, my Badminton Teams or Outdoor Pursuits groups, and I am
sure that many former colleagues
would feel the same, given the opportunity – and here it
is! I also know that many Old Boys attending
the Reunions in recent years have expressed the wish to meet
their teachers. I would like to think that,
on this special occasion (and who knows where we will be by the
next 25-year anniversary!) we can all
make a special effort and travel, once more, to North Wales to
raise a glass to T. S. Indefatigable.
Hoping to see you all on the Parade Ground, with shoes suitably
buffed!
