Mold.

Mold in North Wales is an old market town, and the history of the area can be traced back to prehistoric times.

The Alleluia Monument off Cilcen Road commemorates the victory of the Britons against the Saxons and Picts in AD420. Nearby Caergwrle was an outpost during the Roman occupation.

In Mold itself there was a Norman Motte and Bailey castle AD1093, which has evidence of occupation by the British, Roman and Saxons.

The historic town of Mold is well worth a visit, so if you are coming on holiday to North Wales book into accommodation in Mold and visit some of the areas many interesting sites.
