Rhondda Valleys, Penygraig Rugby Team 1928 Rhondda Valleys, Penygraig RFC playing at Dinas Park. - Gareth Jenkins wrote in say that the small boy sat at the right hand end of the front row - who was 15 in 1928 - is Trevor Jenkins, his father. Trevor was born in Penygraig and went on to have two Welsh trials and played in a Wales XV for George the VI's Golden Jubilee, but never had a cap. A feat in itself, because by then he had moved to Devon to work and play rugby, so to be selected for trials in those days and not be playing in Wales was apparently very unusual. He went on to play Rugby League for Swinton, St Helens and Broughton Park, before returning to Devon in 1947. Trevor Jenkins passed away in 1974 aged 60.
