Bryngwran Water Mill -
Felin Plas Watermill on the Isle of Anglesey (Ynys
Môn)
in North Wales.

Anglesey, Bryngwran, Hen Felin Plas Water Mill in 2009.
The water mill at Bryngwran was named (Hen) Felin Plas, and
the prime purpose of the mill was to grind corn. The old Mill
- and the old Lime Kiln - have been converted into dwellings,
sadly
there is little to suggest their heritage, but nevertheless
they are very nice properties.
In 1881, in the Parish of Llechylched (which was Bryngwran basically)
there were two corn millers as follows:
Owen Roberts aged 48 born Llangefni, living with his wife at
Ty Felin (Mill House).
William Jones aged 67 born Llanrhwydrys, he has obviously recently
become a widower, as living
with him are his 3 daughters ranging in age from 11 to just 2. They are living
in a house in Well Street. As William's daughters were born in
Holyhead, I am guessing that he had been a corn miller there,
and Owen Roberts (above mentioned) is the miller at Bryngwran?
