Ducks on the
Island of Anglesey - Ynys Mon.

A male mallard in all its colourful glory.
There are many species of
Duck on the Island of Anglesey, mainly located on the several lakes like
Llyn (Lake) Alaw and Llyn Cefni, and also on the many nature reserves
like Penrhos Nature Reserve and the Breakwater Quarry - both of which
are located in Holyhead. Another excellent place to bird watch is on the
Malltraeth Estuary. One of the most colourful is the male mallard, and
there are many others like the tufted duck. You will also regularly
encounter more rare species like the Crested Grebe.

Some of the photos may have been
taken with my trusted Fuji 4m pixels camera, and many will be taken
with my 8m pixels Olympus Evolt E-500 digital slr camera, which now
offers me many more options, not least of which is a decent zoom lens
that
allows me to take photographs I could otherwise not.
