Gwalchmai St Morhaiarn Church War Memorials

Anglesey, Gwalchmai, St Morhaiarn's Church

Anglesey, Gwalchmai, St Morhaiarn's Church.

Most of the memorials on graves that I find in churches and chapels are to men and women who have died in the World Wars in foreign lands and are remembered on family gravestones. Others are where servicemen have been wounnded or contracted a disease abroad and came home, only to die later.

In days gone by - but not in the distant past - the town of Gwalchmai was often referred to as Trewalchmai. Below are memorials that I have found in the churchyard of St Morhaiarn's Church and photographed.
