Gwalchmai Windmill
- known as Melin Gwalchmai on the Isle of Anglesey (Ynys Môn)
in North Wales.

Anglesey, Felin Gwalchmai Windmill c. 1900's.
Felin Gwalchmai Windmill was built in the early 19th century,
and was in constant use as a Corn Mill until it's demise around
1930. At some stage it was converted, and a diesel engine fitted.
The Mill is in fact much taller than its' exterior view reveals,
as beneath it is a cellar.
On the 1881 census the only Miller in the parish is 39 year
old Robert Williams, who lives at the premises named Ty Capel
(Chapel House) with his wife, and one visitor. Robert Williams
is said to be a Corn Miller.
Near the door of the Windmill lies a stone that has more than
one rustic inscription - although they are difficult to read.
One inscription appears to be J.W. 1888, and another earlier
one
has the initials
(possibly) R.J. 1?83.
