Bethel Chapel in Holyhead, Isle of Anglesey.

Holyhead, Bethel Chapel - founded 1895

Holyhead, Bethel Chapel - founded 1895

Bethel Chapel is a large building, and can be seen from most parts of Holyhead. It is unique - I believe - as the only Chapel in Holyhead with its' own small graveyard.

The Reverend T. M. Rees (late preacher of Bethel Chapel) is buried within the graveyard, he was the father of Major General Thomas Wynford Rees D.S.O., M.C., famous for his leadership during the Burma Campaign in World War Two. He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order for bravery in both world wars, and the Miitary Cross for bravery in World War One.
