Holyhead Breakwater - March 2010.

Holyhead, Breakwater Park
Holyhead Breakwater Park was the development of the quarry that
once provided the stone for the building of the Breakwater (above)
in Holyhead, on the Isle of Anglesey. It is now a place where
you
can visit free, and enjoy the countryside, the sea, Holyhead
Mountain, and even watch locals sail their model boats on the
man made
lake, or just feed the ducks.
A walk up the mountain trail will open up some majestic and
scenic vistas across Anglesey, and depending on how energetic
you are feeling, you can climb to the top of the mountain and
visit North Stack or South Stack lighthouses.
There is wildlife all around you, includings birds of prey,
and depending on the time of year you will even see grey seals
with their young near Rocky Coast.
