Pant y Saer Cromlech on Anglesey.

Pant-y-Saer Cromlech SH 508924.

This an impressive Cromlech (Burial Chamber) with a large capstone. Excavated in the 19th century, and also in 1933 by Lindsay Scott. During these excavations pottery and bones were discovered, in fact I have also read that up to 40 burials were discovered here. Pant y Saer is quite easy to find from the following directions. If you are travelling on the B5108 from the Llangefni direction, turn right just before the Benllech Rugby Club (Treetops). Several hundred yards down that road you will see a lane that leads off to the left. Park your car there and walk down the lane. After a short distance you will come to a kissing gate on your left. Go through the gate and keep to the right of the field. At the top of the field you will see a wooden post with a yellow arrow. Follow that and you will come to it. As is usual it commands an elevated position.
