Pentre Berw Windmill
- known as Melin Berw on the Isle of Anglesey (Ynys Môn)
in North Wales.

Pentre Berw, Melin Berw Windmill - one of the last photographs
of this windmill in its' natural state.
Melin Berw Windmill is believed to date from the late 18th century,
and continued working until the late 19th century. As I could
not find the mill on the 1881 census, it is possible that it
may have stopped working by then.
As early as the 1920's this mill had been converted to a dwelling,
and I have seen photos of it with two chimneys, making it
reminiscent of 'Noddy's House' if I am truthful.
In November 2009 when I took these photographs, the mill was
in the process of being made an integral part of a new house.
I will look forward to the finished result, although I suspect
there will be little of the windmill in view.
