Mike Reakes's Rhondda - Then and Now in Photographs.In January of 2007, Mike Reakes of Ynyshir came up with a suggestion for web pages that showed the changing face of the Rhondda. The idea is to show old photos of various sites alongside contemporary photographs that he -and hopefully others- will take of the same site.
As Mike - and hopefully others from the Rhondda - take their photographs, I will add more web pages by their appropriate town. As with all photographs on this site, double click on the images below to see full size.
