These school photos relate to Islwyn School in Mount Pleasant, which served the communities of Mount Pleasant and the surrounding areas. It was later destroyed by fire.

The first school photograph was taken in 1950, and was sent courtesy of Mike and Jean Reekes. Photograph includes Mike Reekes as a lad.
