Rhoscolyn Beach

Rhoscolyn Beach on a busy day – it is normally quiet

Rhoscolyn beach is a secluded and pretty sandy beach, which is quite difficult to reach. The reason for this is that the only access is via a narrow winding lane, and if you were to meet another vehicle coming in the opposite direction, there are very few passing places. Nevertheless, Rhoscolyn beach is well worth a visit. No onsite shops, but quite close to the White Eagles public house, which serves meals and has a beer garden.

There is lots of accommodation in the local area, from hotels, holiday cottages, to bed and breakfast accommodation.

The water is usually calm due to the surrounding rocks, so you often see kayaks in the water.

Lookout Station at Rhoscolyn

There is a great walk starting at Rhoscolyn beach, which takes you to the Rhoscolyn lookout station, which has amazing views. It really is worth the walk up the hill to see the breathtaking views on offer.
