There are some great car boots on Anglesey, with most starting up from April onwards.
During the summer there are several car boots. The most reliable and the largest on Saturdays and Bank Holidays is at Benllech. Grab a bargain. Benllech is open on a Saturday and on Bank Holidays.
The village of Valley (four miles from Holyhead) hosts a good car boot on a Tuesday and a Thursday, and entrance is free. A little smaller than the car boots mentioned above, but some excellent large stalls operated from the stock of shipping containers now on-site, and there are many good bargains to be had, and of course there are many stalls inside the large shed as well.
Mona Car Boot is open on Sundays, and is a very large car boot.
Anglesey Borough Council announced plans to impose large annual charges on Anglesey car boots. Many will not be able to afford these charges, and what makes it even more ridiculous is that at Gwalchmai the council has spent a lot of money setting up a recycling base. What better way is there of effective recycling than to allow people to trade their unwanted goods at car boots? Thousands of these items would end up in skips and clog up our already bulging landfill sites. Please think again Anglesey Council!
