Bodowyr Llangaffo Water Mill

Named Felin Bodowyr, on the Isle of Anglesey (Ynys Môn) in North Wales.

Almost everything at Felin Bodowyr Water Mill and Farm complex looks as though it would date from the late 18th to early 19th century. I am told though that one building – that certainly does look much older – may be the original Mill House, and dates to about the year 1600. There has – it seems – been a corn mill at this location for at least 400 years.

This area is an ancient place, where early settlers lived many thousands of years ago, there are ancient burial chambers and standing stones nearby.
