Ruthin

Ruthin castle and gardens in times past

Ruthin in North Wales is an interesting and important town with some old and lovely architecture. It has its own 13th-century castle built on the site of an original motte and bailey castle.

Ruthin also has a goal that dates back hundreds of years, and the town was once the scene of some terrible punishments being inflicted, including hangings and some condemned men being hung, drawn and quartered.

With a population of around 5000, it is a comfortable and worthwhile place to spend some time whilst holidaying in North Wales.
